Last Tuesday, she experienced excruciating neck pain and weakness in her arm, leading doctors to make the quick decision to operate and relieve pressure on her spinal cord. They originally thought she was suffering from a spinal infection, but she has since been diagnosed with a form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma called Burkitt lymphoma. Though she is recovering, Dr. Hooman M. Melamed, who performed Miller's surgery, told that she's "not out of the woods yet."
He said that her health is looking good, and she has a lot more movement in her arms, legs and toes, which is a "very good sign."

One of her supporters is former "Dance Moms" star that she visited Miller in the hospital.

Miller was best known for starring on TLC's "Dance Moms" as a director, dance instructor and owner of Abby Lee Dance Company.
In 2017, she was convicted of bankruptcy fraud and ordered to serve one year and one day in prison. On March 27, 2018, she was and transferred to a halfway house in Long Beach, California, to complete her sentence.
