A community in Blue Springs, Missouri, is pulling together for a family who lost a father and two young children in an Iowa tornado. The EF4 tornado touched down in central Iowa on Saturday.The Bolger family of five lost 37-year-old father Michael Bolger, 5-year-old Kinlee and 2-year-old Owen in that tornado.Their mother, Kuri, and son Brysen survived.Right now, friends of the family are doing everything they can to help them during this unimaginable time. Family friend and neighbor Kayla Turner said it was difficult to tell her kids the news."It was really hard to tell them, but also, I felt the same telling other people because they lost their friends," Turner said.Support for the Bolger family has been nonstop. Many people are helping them with meals and managing day-to-day tasks in return for the Bolger's years of kindness."She is just so supported, and so I don't feel a ton of worry for her to be alone, because there's so many people who care about them and are committed to walking alongside them," Turner said.Another family friend has set up a GoFundMe to help Kuri and her family as she recovers.Hundreds of thousands of people have donated money.Friends plan to keep helping any way they can."Surrounding ourselves with people, we can share memories, encouraging each other and supporting each other," Turner said.Watch the video above for the full story.
