Dog injured after providing comfort to those at Surfside collapse site brought home on private plane
When Sophia Barrett saw the destruction in the aftermath of the Surfside building collapse, she knew she had a tool that could help. Teddy, her 6-year-old basset hound lab mix is a trained crisis response dog.

Barrett and Teddy spent three weeks at the collapse site until one day, he suffered some sort of injury. His back legs just gave out. Barrett believes that Teddy바카라 게임 웹사이트s longer back, along with a combination with being out on top of the rocks and the heat for so long, may have led to the injury, .
That injury didn바카라 게임 웹사이트t just make walking difficult. It also impacted how he would return home. A commercial flight or a drive home from Florida to Pennsylvania was ruled out by a veterinarian. Barrett made a public appeal for help. Then, a good Samaritan stepped in.
"When I'm having a bad day, my dog puts a smile on my face," Titan Aviation Group owner Dirk Vander Sterre told the station. "What he was doing down there was great. As soon as I saw it, I wanted to be involved."
Vander Sterre offered one of his private planes to get Teddy and Barrett home safely.
"Teddy will have first-class service, of course," pilot Jim Rozman said.
The dog who served as an emotional relief canine for many after the building collapse is now home and resting.
