Deputies, firefighters and witnesses helped rescue a driver in a submerged vehicle in Oak Hill, Florida.According to Volusia County deputies, the SUV veered off of the road before overturning in the water. Upon arrival, they saw the vehicle on its side in a ditch with approximately three feet of water in the vehicle. The woman at the wheel of the vehicle was trapped inside and unconscious. Witnesses worked alongside firefighters and deputies to push the vehicle upright and rescue the driver. After being pulled out of the water, the woman still had a pulse.She was transported to a hospital in Daytona Beach following the life-saving measures performed on the scene. As of Wednesday afternoon, the woman was in critical condition, according to deputies.
