THE CITY SKYLINE AS WHICH MAKE OUR WAY INTO THE BOSTON HARBOR AND SOME REALLY GREAT NEWS OUT HERE TONIGHT, LIKE YOU GUYS MENTIONED, THAT YOUNG HUMPBACK THAT WAS ENTANGLED IN THAT FISHING GEAR IS FREE TONIGHT. NOW I SPOKE TO THE NATURALIST WHO WAS ON BOARD, WE DIDN'T SEE THE WHALE TODAY BUT SHE SAW IT EARLIER TODAY AND SHE TELLS ME THE BLUE FISHING LINE WRAPPED AROUND ITS TAIL WAS GONE WHEN SHE SAW IT AND SHE HAD THIS HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF WHEN SHE SAW THAT, BUT SAYS IT IS CRITICAL. PEOPLE OUT HERE ON THE WATER USE CAUTION WHEN AROUND THOSE WHALES. >> IT'S ALMOST LIKE I'M SEEING IT AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME. IT'S KIND OF A WAY TO LIVE VICARIOUSLY THROUGH OTHERS AND IT JUST MAKES THE JOB THAT P MORE REWARDING AND EXCITING TO BE ABLE TO ALLOW THESE -- ALLOW THESE PEOPLE TO HAVE THE ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCES. A whale that was spotted in Boston Harbor with fishing gear on its fluke is no longer entangled.Ashlyn DeMilia, a naturalist from New England Aquarium, said she saw the young humpback on Sunday while on a Boston Harbor City Cruises boat and noticed that the blue fishing line that was wrapped on its tail was gone.DeMilia said she had a huge sigh of relief when she saw the whale was free of the line and noted that it is critical that people who are out on the water use caution when they encounter a whale nearby."They are wild animals and they're unpredictable, so giving them their space and allowing them to make the decisions in the whale-watching trip is what we want to do," DeMilia said. Sister station WCVB had the chance to go out on a Boston Harbor City Cruises boat on Sunday but did not spot the young humpback whale that was entangled.The crew, however, did get some great footage of whales out on the ocean.Watch the video below:
