It is named after Emiliano Zapata, a leading figure in the Mexican Revolution of 1910-1920.Zapata Cantina owners Gary and Alex Rodriguez, a father and son duo, are perhaps best known for their chain of El Rancho Grande Mexican restaurants throughout the Greater Cincinnati region.Prior to hosting Zapata's Cantina, the restaurant's building also has hosted the Florida Inn and a Frisch's over the past few decades.For its last week in business, the restaurant will be open from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and from 4 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The restaurant will not be open on Sunday.
