Pike County massacre trial day two: First witnesses take the stand
The first witnesses took the stand Tuesday in the Pike County murder trial of George Wagner IV.
Four members of the Wagner family are accused in the massacre of eight members of the Rhoden family.
George Wagner IV, 30, is the first in his family to go on trial.
The first two witnesses today didn't want to be seen or heard by the public.
Wagner, along with his brother Jake and his parents are accused of shooting and killing the Rhoden family members, execution style, in 2016.
The prosecution says the family spent three months planning the murders and allege it was all over a bitter custody battle between George's brother Jake and Hannah Rhoden.
The defense, trying to distance Wagner from his family, saying a person can't help which family they are born into and George is being lumped in with them and these crimes.
The first witness, Bobbi Jo Manley did not want to be recorded during her testimony.
Manley's older sister was one of the 8 shot and killed.
She discovered multiple bodies after the massacre.
The prosecution's second witness Billy Morgan also requested there be no video or audio during his testimony.
