On Thursday, we learned that 30-year-old Luke Rhoden was one of the people who found his father dead.

Luke and his cousin, Donald Stone, say they tried to call Luke's dad, Kenneth Rhoden, but couldn't get an answer.

They then headed to the church where folks were gathering after hearing something terrible had happened.

From there, they took off for Kenneth's home after trying to call him about a dozen times.

When they walked up, Stone said the door was unlocked.

"We walked in, we walked into supposedly the living room and I noticed to the right, I didn't see him in there nowhere, so I seen the stairway to the right and I walked up the stairway, and that's where I found him up there in his bed," Stone said.

Stone says he and his cousin Kenneth were very close.

Stone went up the road and called 911.

He and other family members became even more emotional in court as the prosecution played those 911 calls back.
