Four family members have been lodged in separate jails, accused of one crime.The Wagner family has been charged in the deaths of eight people in Pike County.The "execution-style" slayings happened nearly two and a half years ago.George "Billy" Wagner III, 47, Angela Wagner, 48, George Wagner IV, 27, and Edward "Jake" Wagner, 26, were arrested Tuesday. However, the Wagners eagerly look forward to their trials, and to have their day in court so they can vindicate their names. The Wagners are also ever hopeful that in the ensuing months there will be a thorough vetting of all the facts. Moreover, we look forward to the day when the true culprit(s) will be discovered and brought to justice for this terrible tragedy."Two other family members were arrested on suspicion of attempting to cover up the crimes.Rita Newcomb, 65, the mother of Angela Wagner, and Fredericka Wagner, 76, the mother of George Wagner, were arrested on suspicion of misleading authorities.The victims were also family members. Christopher Rhoden Sr., 40, Clarence "Frankie" Rhoden, 20, Dana Lynn Rhoden, 37, Gary Rhoden, 38, Hanna May Rhoden, 19, Hannah Gilley, 20, Kenneth Rhoden, 44, and Christopher Rhoden Jr., 16, were shot and killed.Billy Wagner will be in court Wednesday in Fayette County, Kentucky for an arraignment.He is currently being held in the Fayette County Jail. Angela is in Delaware County Jail, Jake is being held in Franklin County and George is in Ross County.
