Steven Albritton
AnchorSteven joined the 바카라게임 온라인 바카라 게임 5 team in September of 2019.
He comes to Cincinnati after spending nearly 3 years as an evening anchor at our sister station KMBC 9 온라인 바카라 게임 in Kansas City.
Before that he spent 4 1/2 years as an Anchor/Reporter at KATC in Lafayette, Louisiana. While there, he was honored with multiple awards from the Louisiana Associated Press and the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters including "Reporter of the Year" and "Story of the Year" honors. He also has two professional Emmy nominations: one while at KMBC for his extensive coverage on the opioid epidemic and another from special coverage of the Ball State Football program.
In his time in Louisiana, Steven covered major stories for KATC including Hurricane Issac, the F-5 tornado in Moore, Oklahoma, the Carnival Triumph stranded at Sea, and anchored wall-to-wall coverage of the historic flooding in southwest Louisiana in August of 2016.
While in Missouri, Steven spent an entire week at Naval Station Norfolk in Norfolk, Virginia, ending the week by flying out to the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier (CVN75) to do a series of stories.
He also covered numerous breaking events in Kansas City like the EF-4 tornado near the University of Kansas campus in 2019, the beginning of possible major violations by the KU basketball program and covered the NCAA tournament when 16-seed UMBC knocked off 1-seed Virginia while following the Kansas State Wildcats on their tournament run.
Steven also co-hosted the KMBC 9 Storytellers podcast.
Steven's love for news and sports started while as a student at Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana, where he graduated in 2005. He went on to Ball State University where he continued to pursue his love of television and earned his undergrad (2009) as well as Masters degree (2011).
An interesting fact about Steven, through college he was team captain of the Ball State co-ed cheerleading squad which turned into teaching summer cheerleading camps across the country and around the world. He was lucky enough to have the opportunity to teach high school cheerleaders on US Military bases in Germany and Italy in 2011 & 2012.
Steven loves to be active and you can probably find him on a golf course, in the gym or watching as much football as possible!
He lives north of Cincinnati with his wife, two young boys and their dog, Charlie.
