- We awarded the original Blissfeel "Gear of the Year," and I wanted to know if the Blissfeel 2 followed in its footsteps. (upbeat music) Before I get into the Blissfeel 2, I gotta rewind back to when we tested the first Blissfeel. Now I was a little skeptical about testing a Lululemon shoe. The shoes that they sent us were kinda plain. And also it was Lululemon's first shoe, the company that is known for their yoga pants. I was kinda coerced into testing it. Jeff Dengate came over to me and said, "You've gotta try this shoe." His whole promotional spin was, "My wife loves it." I put 'em on my feet, laced up, and went for a run. Those shoes are amazing. It seems like everything stayed the same as the first shoe. It has the same weight, at 8.9 ounces, and the same heel-to-toe drop at 9.5. The heel is 33 millimeters, and the forefoot is 23.5. The thick midsole provides firm cushioning for long mileage. I was surprised that the Blissfeels feel like the Nike Pegasus. I ran in the Peg 38. I still have that shoe. It's one of my favorite trainers. The Blissfeel 2 feels more like the Adidas Ultraboost than the Peg 38. It's the same weight, but it feels just a little heavier, but just as responsive. The Blissfeel 2 is a great go-to trainer that you can run in every day. What is new is the new three-layer textile upper, which gives you a more streamlined fit and flexibility. It kind of looks like a topographic map or fingerprint. Another thing that's new is the midfoot panel, which also helps with stability. These are a wonderful change from some of the other shoes that I've been testing. One thing to note about the Blissfeel 2 is that it is a women-specific shoe. It is specifically made for a woman's biomechanics. For example, the heel angle is eight degrees. Usually for a men's shoe, it's 15 degrees. Lululemon released a couple of different colors, so they're not just plain all-black. They come in beiges, reds. You can match 'em up with any outfit. Now with the Blissfeel 2, which also comes in an assortment of colors, they have gone beyond what they've done with their first Blissfeel. And this shoe is a terrific followup. Unlike some of the shoes that I was testing, the Blissfeel didn't feel as narrow. It was accommodating for my wide feet, and the heel cupped my foot, and there was no pain in my already strained Achilles after running in those nameless shoes. Like the first run and all my other runs, my feet didn't feel beat-up. They felt well-cushioned, and the next run that I went out for, I felt recovered. There's really not much else I can say about the Blissfeel 2, except that I love it because of its simplicity. It has good traction. You don't slip, even on a rainy day. And it feels really comfy for most foot shapes. Running in the Blissfeel, you can kinda see where it gets its name. It is truly a blissful experience. You forget that you're wearing the shoe, and you're just really focused on the run itself. The Blissfeel is a very durable shoe that can take on lots of miles. Long-distance, everyday training, you name it. It seems to be holding up better than a couple major shoe brands that I've tested in the past. It feels just as good running in it as it did day one. The shoe is priced at $148, which is the same price as the original. Which is within the ballpark of shoes like the Brooks Ghost and Nike's Peg. For its hardiness, supportive cushioning, and high rebound, I deem this the best daily trainer for women. We were skeptical about the Blissfeels, but they've nailed it the first time and the second time. We wanna hear from you. Maybe you're still unsure yourself.
