Surveillance footage then shows the gunman firing several shots at Thompson and striking the CEO in the leg and the back. Thompson quickly stumbled to the ground. The suspect then walked past the fallen Thompson before running across the street to flee the scene. A witness photo captured a person believed to be the suspect cutting through a pedestrian passageway onto West 55th Street.
